Regina Medical Center is a rapidly growing organization dedicated to excellent customer service, respect for human life and promotion of the health of the whole person. The Hastings healthcare campus includes the hospital, a surgery center, two multi-specialty clinics: Allina Medical Clinic- First Street Site and the Allina Medical Clinic-Nininger Site, Summit Orthopedics, and senior living facilities. The Allina Medical Clinic - Prescott  (Wisconsin) is also affiliated with Regina Medical Center.

The hospital offers 24-hour emergency care, critical care, medical/surgical units, obstetrics and gynecology services and an inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit.  The Hastings Surgery Center serves the southeast metro area and specializes in both inpatient and same-day surgery. Regina offers diagnostic services including MRI and spiral CT, physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, subacute care and laboratory services.  It is also home to the Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office.

The clinics specialize in family medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, obestetrics and gynecology, urology, and occupational medicine. Senior Living offers independent living with options for assisted living services.  The nursing home provides skilled nursing care.

Regina Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Certified by the State of Minnesota. Regina's Mammography Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and certified by the Food and Drug Administration Mammography Quality Standards Act. Cardiac Rehabilitation is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Minnesota Community Measurement, a community-based nonprofit, rated Regina Medical Center clinics as offering some of the best care in the area of Well Child Visits, according to an article in the 11/22/05 Minneapolis Star Tribune. Inpatient satisfaction scores overall are in the 99th percentile in comparison to all hospitals in the Press Ganey database. The overall satisfaction score for meals climbed from 48% just prior to our introduction of Room Service Dining to 99% in the last quarter of 2005.

Joint Commission (JCAHO) Information

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations conducts an accreditation survey of Regina Medical Center on an unannounced basis. Joint Commission standards deal with organization quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided.  Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about such matters is encouraged to contact the organization's management.  If the concerns in question cannot be resolved at this level, please contact a Joint Commission field representative.  Information presented will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process.  Information about such matters must be made in writing and must also indicate the nature of the concerns.
