Regina Medical Center's mission and values are dedicated to meeting and exceeding your needs for health care services.    A new consumer report is giving the public more tools to help them make decisions about future hospital care.  The Minnnesota Hospital Quality Report,  at www.mnhospitalquality.org rates the care of big and small hospitals throughout the state of Minnesota.  The information gives consumers the opportunity to evaluate whether patients received the right care for their medical condition.  The data focuses on five areas: heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, infection prevention, and surgical care.  The report also measures patient ratings about their communication with doctors and nurses, the responsiveness of the hospital staff, pain control, communications about medicines, and the cleanliness and quietness of the Hospital environment.    Our consumer ratings surpass state and national averages in caring for patients for almost all meaures of care.  We are especially pleased with our consumer ratings, which rank better than the state average for eight out of ten patient satisfaction questions.  In the recent past Regina was honored with awards from the Minnesota Hospital Association for safe practices in fall prevention and safe count in obstetrical procedures.

Patient Satisfaction Recorded Instantly

A new real-time patient satisfaction tool may be helping Regina rank better that the Minnesota average in eight of ten measures when it comes to consumer approval.  A computerized touch screen program called Truthpoint allows patients to rate their care while they are still in the hospital. Stand-alone and hand-held units are located in patient care areas throughout the Hospital.
